The garments are loaded onto the conveyor using a feed system or by hand.
Garments move into the machine, first passing through the free steam zone, where the presence of steam relaxes the fabric in preparation for drying.
Following on, the garments are conveyed into the first stage-drying zone where they are subjected to high velocity hot air to remove a large proportion of the moisture from the fabric surface, the garments then pass into the second drying zone where hot air is concentrated at the top and waistband area of the garment to effectively remove the entrained moisture from the fabric within the fabric. The air penetrates the garments resulting in very efficient drying.

In each drying zone a large proportion of the air is re-cycled to conserve energy, the remaining hot air and steam vapour is extracted from the machine and discharged to atmosphere by means of the built in exhaust system.

All KENT Series Tunnel Finisher are fitted with an auto cut-off Energy Saving Feature to ensure that if the machine is left running with no garments passing through, the steam spray and air heater will automatically switch to standby, turning the spray off and the main heat down to a preset minimum heat level.
